A Way To Make It Work

Optimism may significantly influence mental and physical well-being by the promotion of a healthy lifestyle as well as by adaptive behaviours and cognitive responses, associated with greater flexibility, problem-solving capacity and a more efficient elaboration of negative information.”

What always gives me courage is knowing how adaptive we as humans can be, no matter what decisions we take or where we go in life, we always find a way to make it work.

Reach Back

When you find yourself at a new elevation in life, offer another person the same vantage point.

As you reach forward with one hand, accept the advice of those who have gone before you, and in the same manner, reach back with the other hand to those who follow you; for life is a fragile chain of experiences held together by love.

From a card my father gave me when I was a college student. This has stayed with me for many years and has inspired my philosophy as an educator.
